There are many aquariums and many types of filtration for discus. Many argue that an aquarium should be tall and wide , others prefer to keep their discus in aquariums with standard dimensions, and the same goes for the types of filtration , there are those in favour of chemical filtration and others of biological . Personally, after all these long years around discus, I have come to the view that the most important thing is for the space to be proportional to the size of the fish, and that the water should be as balanced as possible and of the best quality possible. It is often thought that a small aquarium is easier to keep stable, which is totally wrong. The larger the aquarium, the better the stability and the quality of that same water, thanks to its total volume. (to be continued)
