Description

Leopard Pleco - Peckoltia sabaji - L075, 10-15  cm
A beautifully patterned pleco found in fast-flowing, rocky waters throughout the Orinoco and Amazon basins. As a colourful, medium-growing pleco, it is a good addition to a medium to large aquarium

Diet: A true omnivore; they should be fed a varied diet of algae/vegetable-based and protein-rich foods. Offer a variety of foods, including algae pellets/granules/tablets/wafers, as well as plant matter such as cucumber, courgette, pumpkin, blanched spinach, kale, etc. They also eat frozen worms, sinking pellets, flakes and green vegetables. Feed new or nervous fish at night or just before turning off the lights.
Provide rocks so they can hide. The aquarium does not need to be heavily planted. Low, rounded rocks and driftwood crevices close to the substrate are preferred. This pleco does not usually attach itself to the glass or venture very high in the water column.
Adult size: 25 cm
Water parameters:
pH 6.0 - 7.6
Temperature 24.0-26.0°C
Other parameters: Flowing water is preferable, but not essential.
